IMPROBABLE WORKSHOP!

I am very pleased to announce that the Student Workshop at the department has organised a workshop by Lee Simpson; one of the co-founders of Improbable. It will take place on Wednesday, October 17th at the Boilerhouse, from 1.30-5.30 pm. This is a great opportunity to get a first hand experience with one of the members of the company so try to book a place as soon as possible, for places are very limited!
The workshop will explore one the improvisation exercises that the company uses in devising its work, and which we will explore together in week two.

The booking starts on Wednesday, October 3rd at the box office of the Studio Theatre at 1.00 pm.

WELCOME!

Welcome to the blog for the Contemporary Theatremaking option on Improbable. This space is an opportunity for us to document the process of the project we are undertaking together. Documentation is a key concern for contemporary practitioners and scholars and part of your study during this course will involve reflecting upon the documentation of the company and devloping documentation of your own work. Each week you are all invited to post reports and comments. If you are unsure how to do any of those, you can email me and I'll try to talk you through it. I will also be adding material and comments here as we go, so make sure that you check this space regularly. By the end of the course I hope that this blog will be a rich account of the ideas and images we have explored during the term which should prove very useful to you as you write your reflective essays.

Enjoy the process of discovery!
